AddressVault, Inc. ("AddressVault," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not access the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Name and contact information (phone number, email address)
- Physical address(es) — current and historical
- Family group membership information
- Move dates and address change history
- Connected service credentials (OAuth tokens only — we never store your passwords)
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifiers and mobile OS information
- App usage analytics (screens visited, features used)
- Sync status logs (which services were updated and when)
- IP address and approximate location for security purposes
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication data from Google or Apple sign-in (name, email)
- Confirmation data from connected services (address update confirmations)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Push your address to connected services upon your request
- Notify you and your family group of address changes
- Maintain your address history and generate export documents
- Communicate with you about your account and the Service
- Detect and prevent fraud and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do NOT use your address data for advertising purposes.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 With Your Consent
We share your address with connected services only when you explicitly initiate an address update. You control which services receive your address.
3.2 Within Your Family Group
Members of your family group can see your current address. You may leave a family group or set your address to private at any time in Settings.
3.3 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support). These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- AES-256 encryption for all data stored on our servers
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers
- Multi-factor authentication for account access
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- No storage of third-party passwords — we use OAuth 2.0 tokens only
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours of discovery, as required by applicable law.
5. Your Rights
5.1 Access and Portability
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time through Settings > Privacy > Export My Data.
5.2 Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. Note: Deletion removes data from our systems but does not remove your address from third-party services that have already been updated.
5.3 California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
5.4 Opt-Out of Communications
You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time via Settings > Notifications or by emailing privacy@adressvault.com.
6. Data Retention
We retain your address history for the life of your account plus 3 years, to support legitimate uses such as tax record verification. After account deletion, we retain anonymized, non-identifiable data for analytics purposes only. All personally identifiable data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
7. Children's Privacy
AddressVault is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@adressvault.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification and email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR USING ADDRESSVAULT, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and AddressVault, Inc. ("AddressVault," "we," "us") governing your use of the AddressVault mobile application and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
2. Description of Service
AddressVault provides a platform that allows users to:
- Store and manage a personal address record
- Authorize AddressVault to submit address update requests to connected third-party services on your behalf
- Maintain an address history log
- Share address information with family group members you invite
AddressVault acts as your authorized agent for the purpose of address updates only. We do not make any representations on your behalf beyond address change notification.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Accurate Information
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the address information you provide is accurate and complete. AddressVault is not liable for any consequences arising from incorrect address information that you provide.
3.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You may not share your account with any other person
- You may not use another person's account without their express permission
3.3 Prohibited Uses
You may not use AddressVault to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent address information
- Update the address of any person without their explicit consent
- Violate any federal, state, or local laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms
4. Authorization to Act on Your Behalf
By connecting a third-party service and initiating an address update, you expressly authorize AddressVault to:
- Submit your new address to that specific connected service
- Use your OAuth credentials to authenticate the update request
- Receive and store confirmation of the address update
This authorization is limited to address updates only and is revocable at any time by disconnecting the service within the app. AddressVault will not access, use, or transmit any other account data from connected services.
5. Third-Party Services
AddressVault integrates with third-party services ("Connected Services"). Your use of Connected Services is subject to each service's own terms and privacy policies. AddressVault:
- Does not guarantee successful address updates to any Connected Service
- Is not responsible for errors, delays, or failures by Connected Services
- Does not store your passwords for any Connected Service
- May suspend a Connected Service integration if that service changes its API or terms
You acknowledge that some services may require manual updates (e.g., DMV in-person visits) that AddressVault cannot automate, and AddressVault will indicate this within the app.
6. Family Group Feature
When you create or join a family group:
- Other group members will be able to see your current address
- You consent to receiving notifications when other members update their address
- You may leave the group or set your address to private at any time
- You must only invite individuals who have consented to share their address with you
- The family group admin may remove members and manage group settings
7. Intellectual Property
AddressVault and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to software, design, trademarks, and logos. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ADDRESSVAULT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL ADDRESS UPDATES WILL BE SUCCESSFULLY PROCESSED BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADDRESSVAULT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST MAIL, MISSED PAYMENTS, OR OTHER CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM FAILED ADDRESS UPDATES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AddressVault, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or provision of inaccurate information.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
